A Dad's Prayer of Child's Dedication to the Lord

This is Alain's written prayer for our son's dedication. He was in Qatar that time (July 2005). He sent this prayer.

"Lord,

We come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus, acknowledging the practice for which even our incarnated Christ followed,

Today, we offer to you Kendrich Moses in the name of Jesus! You, oh Lord, very well know our indifference to having our own baby after 4years have passed after our marriage. On this same month last year, we remember that you answered our prayers to give bless my wife's womb. It is with the inspiration of your most favored servant Moses that we have named this child in faith. With this inspiration, we ask you to grant our child the gift of "prayer," the gift of "song", and the gift of "faith!" Grant this child oh Lord, the blessing of being dear and close to your will and purpose. In the strength, humility, and wisdom of the patriarch Moses, we ask you, together with all the witnesses of this dedication today, to grant the same to Kendrich Moses! We dedicate and offer to you today my son, Moses Kendrich, in the saving name of Christ Jesus. Amen."
